How you can come to us:

By plane:

via Munich (recommended):

There are two possibilities to get to Regensburg from Munich Airport (MUC).

The first option is to use the Airportliner shuttle service. This service picks you up directly at the terminal and brings you directly to your hotel. The price is 42 Euro per person one-way, but if you travel in groups of two or more to the same hotel, the price will be 29 Euro per person. This service has to be booked online, please visit their webpage directly.

The second option is to go to Regensburg by public transportation. The easiest will be to purchase a train ticket in advance using Deutsche Bahn. The ticket will cost about 20 € from Munich airport to Regensburg. You’ll first take a bus from the terminal to the train station in Freising. From here you’ll take a direct train to Regensburg train station (Hauptbahnhof).

Specifically, from the airport, take bus # 635 to Freising train station (every 20 minutes). The bus stops are located on the ground level nearby the terminals. Take a look at the detailed map of the airport. The exact schedules can be found at Deutsche Bahn website (enter: "München Flughafen Terminal" and "Freising Bahnhof"). (If you didn’t purchase a ticket in advance, you can purchase the bus ticket for about 2.50 € directly from the driver.) Once you are in Freising take a direct train to Regensburg (one train per hour). The schedule is also available at Deutsche Bahn website. (If you did not purchase a ticket in advance, it has to be bought from vending machines at the station prior to entering the train and costs about 20 €.) For groups, there is a cheaper option: purchase a "Bayern Ticket". This ticket is valid for bus and train and costs 23 € for the first person plus 5 € for each additional person (up to five people per one Bayern ticket). Once you arrived in Regensburg at the train station, you can walk, take a bus or taxis to get to your hotel or to the university campus (see the information below).
